Silvery Dark Übersetzung
von Kaya

Silvery Dark
I remember the night
When the moonbeams waxed full
And flowed gently down
To join with the sound
Of the waves as they churned
Receeding back and forth
They controlled that night
Painted the silvery dark

My fingers frozen, my hands were apart
As if to say I'd given up

If these two hands of mine were beautiful and pure
And sinless as the moon as it shined with its white splendour
Then could it somehow be, that you'd have needed me?
That I could be something to you?

I clung to your "special" words
Believing them enough
They were so vague but still
Those words were all there was

I'll let my tears dyed white
Run off in the tide
Along with my saddened pleas
To be taken unattainable
By the frozen sea

The high winter sky
Stretched out far and wide
As my footsteps fade,
Washed away by waves
I felt like perhaps
There was something
That lead me to this place
So I would find my way

I came to the end of that journey of mine
And that's where I met you for the first time

The neverending light will rain down from the moon
To sway the endless waves, and they'll continue to move
So everything will fade out to sea and flow away...

But the light from the moon
Shone down upon my wet skin
Illuminating it in white

After all of that
You've probably thought
How it would have been best if we'd never met
Surely you do....don't you?

If these two hands of mine were beautiful and pure
And sinless as the moon as it shined with its white splendour
Then could it somehow be, that you'd have needed me?
That I could be something to you?

The neverending light will rain down from the moon
To sway the endless waves, and they will continue to move
So everything will fade out to sea and flow away...

But the light from the moon
Just shone weak on my wet cheeks,
White and weak too
