I was walking in the rain
Tryin' to find where my fate was going.
I was searching for a sign
That would leave my fears, oh at home.
Through the fields throughout the town
All the miles and miles of empty ground
Searching for the spirit
To lead without a frown.
When I look into her eyes
I can see my fate's not a gaze
It's a wonder we're together
Through the mist of all these tears...
But this decision that is calling me
I cannot make today.
Today I found myself
Reflecting back through time
Remembering how I felt
That summers' evening stroll
Chills ran throughout my spine
Marked the changing time
Tears flowed down her face
Responding she'd be mine.
When I look into your eyes
I can see my fate's not a gaze
It's a wonder we're together
At the sake of all these years...
That decision that had called to me
Was beyond my wildest dreams.
I was just the lucky one!
