All soaking wet

You waved me goodbye

I hope on your way there
Before you arrive
You know that you've already taken a life

I prayed that the winter
Would carry me through
But each day your picture
Reminds me of you
You sent me a postcard
From where you're deployed
It read "I'll be home soon, my darling don't cry"
I woke up this morning

I was shaking bad
I ran down the hallway
For good news I'd pray
A voice said "I'm sorry your son died today"
