A crystal clear blue mountain morning
Nothing between here and the sky
Rain just cut clean across heaven and rolled on for miles
Rain came yesterday evening
Shone things till God gave a smile
Caught in the last light of sunset it glows like a shrine

I have got to get back
Back to the river again
Snatching back childhood laughter and memories gone on the wind
Breathing the sweet smell of freedom
Feeling the sun on my skin
Peeling back sorrow and letting the light tumble in
In that sweet moment
I'm higher than heaven again

Here in the heart of the mountain
Back before everything changed
Peace was part of the scenery some still remain
Gommersells soar through the canyon
Cickcarders and native birds call
Their song and anthem is the beauty of living
The roar of the white water falls
