Tired of romance Songtext

Center of Intentions - Tired of romance

In late summer she came into my life
Didn't ask her to, I was petrified
Her breath so hot as those eyes that could kill
A touch of evil and the kisses were wet thrill
She didn'tn give me a number, didn't say her name
But she explained, that love's a courious game
And she asked if I think to be a winner
I said no, but is it an invitation for a dinner

She grinned and took my guitar away
Touched the strings, I can't say she knew to play
She gave it back and wanted a song
I said: This one's not mine, don't get me wrong
She laid back and closed her eyes
Was so beautiful to me, adrenalin's high
Some glass of wine, some cup of tea
Later that night, she gave herself to me

I'm not the one who's looking back
To the moment where we started
Some day we'll find a new luck
Maybe breaking new hearts
Sure no next best thing
No puppets on a string
No we have just begun
Just like words of a song

I could tell stories about her and most'd be true
Believe she's a good girl but I know we're through
To me we've just started, to her it was yet the end
I was the last whose message was sent
Last time I saw her, was long, long ago
It was not the same, now I know
And it's accepted, all that lasts are memories
I hope that I'm part of her diary

I'm not the one who's looking back
To the moment where we started
Some day we'll find a new luck
Maybe breaking new hearts
Sure no next best thing
No puppets on a string
No we have just begun
Just like words of a song
